The mission of the Voters Organized to Educate Leadership Institute, comprised of ‘the Academy’ and ‘the Justice Caucus’ is to bring together, cultivate and develop compassionate mission-oriented leaders who center the values and principles of VOTE and our coalition partners. The Institute aims to provide the necessary training, tools, and resources for our allied candidates to manage and run winning campaigns. Through the Justice Caucus, we cultivate our partnerships with current elected officials providing ongoing electoral support, and convening yearly alongside community mebers and activist to develop comprehensive legislation and reforms on the state and local level for the year ahead. Through the Academy, we work to recruit, train and run formerly incarcerated people and allies to run for office and win alongside training up organizers and activists to manage successful political campaigns regardless of scope.
